Fun5 summer camp is a small-group camp where you can enjoy Japanese nature and cultural experiences that stimulate your five senses in the countryside. We offer not only summer-like experiences such as playing in the river, bug catching, grabbing and creanling natural eels, but also various other experiences that train your child's creativity and ability to live in nature.

【Date】

-For 1 day participation

August 6th (Sat) 1pm - 8pm (7 hours)

August 7th (Sun) 7:30am - 3pm (7.5 hours)

* You can freely enter and leave.

 

-For 2 days participation (Overnight in a tent)

August 6th (Sat) 1pm to August 7th (Sun) 3pm

 

【Time Schedule】

August 6th (Sat) 1st day

1pm Start

Bamboo lantern & bamboo rice cooker making

Tent setup (Overnight participants only)

 

3pm Making beetle trap

 

3:30pm Summer vegetable harvesting (eggplant and tomato etc)

Japanese Curry and Bamboo rice cooking

 

5pm Dinner time

Clean up

Shower time (If someone want to)

 

6:30pm Bamboo lantern ceremony

Bug catching (Set traps, observation of insects swarming on oak, and collection of insects gathering in the light)

* It will be a game tournament indoors if it rains.

 

8pm Shaved ice, Japanese sparklers

*Sparklers will be canceled if it rains.

 

9pm Take a bath and bedtime

Adult time (Let's enjoy chatting around the bonfire)

 

August 7th (Sun) 2nd day

Go to see the trap set the day before if you can get up early in the morning.

 

7:30am Breakfast (Hot dogs and fresh vegetables:We use milk cartons to make hot dogs.)

* Making hot sandwiches indoors if it rains.

Tent removal (Overnight participants only)

Clean up

 

9am Natural eel catching tournament

Natural eel cooking

Making flowing noodle’s pipes, bowls, and chopsticks with bamboo.

* If it rains, you can experience making handmade udon noodles indoors.

 

12pm Lunch time (Flowing noodle, Eel BBQ *Udon if it rains)

Clean up

 

1pm Move to River

Fishing, playing at the river

* If it rains, dyed goods making experience using onion skin.

*Event insurance does not apply to river play.Please make a decision about participation after discussing it with your family.Also, we are not responsible for any injuries or accidents that occurred while playing in the river, so please play at your own risk.

 

3pm END
